Hopi
The Hopi lived in the desert near the Grand Canyon. Most of the time the ground more hot than most deserts! The shelter is made of clay and is named pueblos. The pueblos had three levels. The girls clothing are purple blankets called mantas. The boys wore brown brech cloths. They had bows and arrows, sticks of wood, and pots. The Hopi's main food is corn, but they also like buffalo and papaya. The Hopi also liked to play games to help practice shooting an arrow, for the girls taking care of babies, making pots, and collecting water. Thay also cought snakes for the snake fesival. Haida
The Haida lived in the Queen Charrolete Islands and Prince of WhalesIslands in Alaska. They lived near oceans, forests and mountains. The Haida's shelter was very strong and plank. They usually housed 4 or 5 families. They ate trout, hair seals, smelt, whales, bears, moose, and mountain sheep. The Haida's ceremonies usually involed totom poles. They wore very simple clothing. Women wore skirts made out of palm tree leaves,

Nez Perce
Nez Perce
The Nez Perce lived in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. They lived on plateaus and lived near forests. The Nez Perce Indians lived in circular pit houses made out of buffalo skin, mud, leaves and poles. The villages usually hold 5-6 huts. The Nez Perce ate a variety of different foods and 80% of their diet was salmon.They also ate deer, buffalo, and elk. The Nez Perce wore chokers, abalone hair ties, dresses with shells, beads, or fringe, and ever popular moccasins. Their clothing was suited for the temperature in which they lived. There were ceremonies celebrating a newborn baby or a marrige. There were also courting ceremonies, where a boy would put a special stick on a girl's shoulder if he liked her, and if she liked him, too, she would leave the stick on her shoulder!

Crow
The Crow Indians lived in Montana and northern Wyoming. They were plains Indians and had a hot and dry climate. They live in tipis. Tipis are made out of sticks tied at the top with buffulo hide. The Crow were farmers and ate brerries and buffulo meat. The Crow wore buffalo pants, buckskin shirts, and head dresses made out of eagle feathers.

Chippewa
Chippewa
The Chippewa lived in Canada, near the Great Lakes, and in The Rocky Mountians. Rarely they lived in Mexico. They also lived near lakes and rivers. They lived in mountians too. The Chippewa lived in round bowl shaped huts called wigonamwams made of willow poles, bark, and grass. Transportation used by these Indians was birchbark canoes, and in the winter they had dogs to pull sleds with their belongings on them. Indians of the Chippewa tribe made beautiful beadery, pots, and baskets. Sometimes on the pots there were pictures to share a story or to represent a famous family. They had games for the children, like lacross for the older boys, and doll making for the girls of all ages. The younger boys practiced spearing. The tribe men wore nothing but a belt to carry tools but in the winter, they wore pants. The women wore elkskin dresses and the kids wore nothing. In the winter they all wore deer skin and fur jump suits. The food they loved to eat was buffalo, caraibou, and salmon in the winter. In the summer they ate wild rice, barries, nuts, and they had a Mexican diet.
